Pattern Supplies & Materials

Supplies:

  • Yarn in white, yellow, red, and blue (I use weight 4)

  • Hook (I use 3.5mm)

  • Stuffing

  • Needle

  • Stitch Marker

  • Scissors

Abbreviations:

  • R: Round

  • MC: Magic Circle

  • SC: Single Crochet

  • INC: Increase

  • DEC: Decrease

  • FLO: Front Loops Only

  • DC: Double Crochet

  • CH: Chain

  • BOB: Bobble Stitch

Arms (x2)

In white yarn:


R1: MC6 [6]

R2: SC6 [6]

Color change to yellow yarn:

R3-8 SC6 (6 ROWS)

R9: Fold arm in half and SC3 through both sides

Fasten off and make a second arm

Legs (x2)

In red yarn:

R1: MC8 [8]

R2-3: SC8 (2 ROWS)

Color change to yellow yarn:

R4-12: SC8 (9 ROWS)

Stuff the leg

After you make the first leg, fasten off

After you make the second leg, do not cut the yarn and continue onto the body

Body

R13: Insert into the first leg and SC8, then go back into the second leg and SC8 [16]

R14: SC16 [16]

R15: (SC3, DEC, SC3) x2 [14]

R16: SC14 [14]

R17: (SC3, DEC, SC2) x2 [12]

R18: (SC2, SC3 with arm, SC) x2 [12]

Stuff the body, color change to white yarn, and continue onto the head

Head

In white yarn:

R19: BLO; 6DEC [6]

R20: FLO; 6INC [12]

R21: (SC, INC) x6 [18]

R22-25: SC18 (4 ROWS)

R26: (SC, DEC) x6 [12]

Stuff the head

R27: 6DEC [6]

Close the circle and hide the tail inside the head

Collar

Insert your hook into the front loop from R19

Pull blue yarn through, slip stitch, and chain 2

Then do 4DC into EACH front loop from R19

On the last stitch, chain 2, slip stitch, and hide tails inside of the body

Eyes

In blue yarn:

Embroider two + shaped eyes with one stitch in between

Each line should be 3 stitches total in length across

Buttons

In red yarn:

Insert your hook into the body where you want a button

Pull your red yarn through and make a bobble stitch

Cut your yarn, double knot the tails, and hide excess tails inside of the body

Hat

In red yarn:

R1: MC6 [6]

R2: SC6 [6]

R3: (DEC, SC) x2 [4]

Color change to yellow yarn:

R4: (SC, INC) x2 [6]

R5: (SC2, INC) x2 [8]

R6: (SC3, INC) x2 [10]

R7: (SC4, INC) x2 [12]

R8: (SC5, INC) x2 [14]

R9: (SC6, INC) x2 [16]

R10: (SC7, INC) x2 [18]

R11: SC18 [18]

Color change to blue yarn:

R12: SC18 [18]

Fasten off and hide/weave tails inside the hat

Then place the hat on top of the head
